"Give Thanks" and A Candle Animation

Ah yes, dearies. Here are a few assorted graphics in case yer in need fer something on yer bloggies. One of them is to tease some of me bloggie friends who are quite devoted to a certain doggie breed...

Thanksgiving fast approaches. Sometimes I get a bit down, remembering back to yesteryear. So I'm putting up a little candle animation, from a vintage Christmas card, too. Fer some reason, candles and sparkly little lights rather cheer me olde heart. It's pushing the season, but no matter.

Bloggie friends, remember ye have to SAVE any animations to a place like photobucket.com in order fer them to work on yer blogs! Ye cannot just upload them as usual to Blogger! They will not animate if ye do.

Right-click to save. Hope ye enjoy.

Me, I still haven't figured the breed of my little pup. Having watched the Wizard of Oz this weekend, he looks a bit like the Toto breed, but the coloring is different, reddish brown with some black highlights, and he has a bit of a mane around his head like a Pom does. He's a mutt for sure and a feisty one at that!

I know what you mean of that seasonal nostalgic sadness. I get it too. Just the mention of sparkly little lights just now put a smile on my face though. Love the candle!!

I think ye have it covered today ODP! Everybody has something to like! Plants/herbs for geeky botanists, crows for birdy folk, corgies for some certain dog lovers, and a candle for the rest of us searching for our Christmas spirit!

I need a kick in the rear to get the season going. I did find some wonderful ornamnents though. :)

That candle is beautiful! Some Holidays get me down too, it's so hard when you don't have much family left, and my son will be leaving in June for basic, so I can only imagine what the future of Holidays will be like:(

Phheww! I'm so relieved! I was sure that I was in for a flailing the next time you visit me, because I have gone all Christmas on my bloggie, and totally skipped over Thanksgiving. But I see that you have done a little Christmas here as well, so I think I'm in the clear. I am in the clear, right?!

I love the first graphic!! Very nice. Thanks for your comment on my blog this morning!! I am enjoying every minute I can with my husband before he leaves, but it is getting very hard to keep the tears from flowing! Enjoy your day!!!

Enjoyed Mary's comment: The Toto in the movie was a cairn terrier. They come in a couple of different color variations and look quite scrappy if they are not well groomed (they seldom look like their cousins in the dog shows ~ those dogs are hand stripped and shaped).

AS I WAS SAYING, before blogger stole my comment away.

This time of year is difficult for a lot of folks. Sometimes the best thing to do, if one is able ~ when the house is emptied of children; try volunteering to feed the hungry or collecting coats and jackets for children. Reach out of the comfort zone and spend that energy and love around. Just a thought; I use to work with Loaves and Fishes at holidays. An empty house on the holidays is a recipe for pensiveness. Not a good thing. Thank you for your beautiful graphics during the seasons! XXX Bev

Thank you so much for the gift, Dame P! I love it! Being me, I just want to save it. To add it to my stash of goodies that I can't part with nor can I use. What to do. I have a strong temptation to open up the package and set out those sweet pilgrims, the turkey and the fruit 'bowl'. Yet, something tells me I should save it for a very special Thanksgiving Day. I think that's what I'll do. I have just the place to save it among my treasures.

Again, thanks so much.. I truly appreciate your kindness.. and love the graphics here today. I am so sorry to read that your remembrances of yesteryear cause you some sadness. It's the same with me. That's why bloggy-land is so special, we can share these thoughts with others who understand.

For some reason my brain has gone on vacation and I'm not able to concentrate on my bloggie. It awaits inspiration. But that's okay. Life is full for now.

Bless you all, You're a great group!

    Have a great evening!
